Current Projects

Annual Meeting – STAR conducts a scientific meeting in February of each year to educate both the physicians and their staff. Continued Medical Education (CME), MOC and ANCC credits are available to the registrants.

Practice Managers – This conference is held in conjunction with the annual meeting and is conducted to update practice managers on difficult issues such as coding and billing, insurance, etc.

Rheumatology Foundation Educational Endowment – Long recognizing a shortage of rheumatologists, STAR has partnered with the Rheumatology Research Foundation (RRF) creating an educational endowment for the training of a rheumatology fellow in the state of Texas.

The RRF is the largest private funding source for rheumatology research and training in the US and we are proud to be the first state society to accomplish this goal.
